All the embroidery is finely embossed on the base of Kora silk/Mercerized cotton. Description
Lambani embroidery uses a total of fourteen types of stitches. Most of the stitches follow geometric shapes like squares, circles, triangles, rectangles, diagonal and parallel lines. When many lines of different stitches come together, the fabric becomes a festive array of colors and designs.Lambani Embroidery is now a GI tagged craft.
It is distinguished by Vibrancy of colors ,embezelmenmt with Mirrors and Nature acquire products such as shells Embroideries are majorly done in bright contrasting color- blue, red with black and its complex geometric & floral patterns.
It takes skill & patience to hand Embroidery Lambani Artwork across Saree. There are between 14 types of Stitches and takes and Artisan around which 15-20 days to complete. The resulting cloth is soft against the skin and highlighted in appearance, pleasing to touch & appealing to the eye.

Know Your Saree :Lambani embroidery art hails from Karnataka, India. Amongst all the nomadic tribes of India, it is the Lambanis who have probably retained the most elaborate outfits of all. The Lambani embroidery is an amalgam of pattern darning, mirror work, cross stitch, and overlaid and quilting stitches with borders of “Kangura” patchwork appliqué, done on loosely woven dark blue or red handloom base fabric.
Lambada embroidery (lambadi embroidery, Lambani, Sandur Lambani embroidery, Banjara embroidery, lepo) is an art of embellishing clothes practiced by the Lambadas or Lambanis, the tribe in Sanduru, the Banjaras of Bellary and Bijapur in Karnataka, Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh.
