Jamshed Ali is a 4th generation Weaver,from Murshidabad ,Bengal whose family has been involved inhandweaving fabrics since Years. Jamshed fell in love with weaving before he was even tall enough to do it on his own.He works on job basis and finds working at rangamaati has impacted his family in very positive ways, including providing many benefits and flexibility.

Know Your Fabrics :Handwoven cotton Solid Tonned fabric from the Weavers of West Bengal. white and blue coloured yarns are woven vertically and horizontally to create the frosted look and feel  throughout the fabric making it suitable for lightweight garments. Unevenness in Weave and slight variations in color is intrinsic to an authentic handwoven fabric.Handwoven fabrics have an inherent nature of slubs. Do not try and remove them.Irregulariteis which results from the human involvement in the process of handweaving is a hallmark of products and adds to its Aesthetic Value.
